One single file — download, open and use. Nothing to install.
Click "Download for Windows". RefereeLights.exe is the whole app: nothing to install or extract.
Double-click RefereeLights.exe. The first time, Windows may warn about a file downloaded from the internet: click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
If Windows asks about the firewall, allow access on private networks. This is what lets the referees' phones connect.
The browser opens the panel automatically. Create a session and share the QR Codes with the referees. The Referee Lights icon sits next to the Windows clock: use it to reopen the panel, copy the address for phones or quit the app.
Referees must be on the same Wi-Fi network. They access via the machine's IP address (e.g., http://192.168.1.100:3000) by scanning the QR Code.
Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". If the antivirus will not let it open, use the alternative version (zip): extract it and double-click Iniciar.cmd.
Make sure everyone is on the same Wi-Fi network and the computer's network is set to "Private". On the Referee Lights icon next to the clock, use "Allow through firewall" and "Address for phones".
If port 3000 is busy, Referee Lights picks another one by itself (3001, 3002...) and shows the right address in the panel and in the icon next to the clock.
Data is kept in %LOCALAPPDATA%\RefereeLights and survives updates. To remove everything, use "Remove data and quit" on the icon next to the clock and delete RefereeLights.exe.
When there is a new version, the panel tells you. You choose when to update — never during a competition in progress.
